    Wort chillers come in a few different forms, immersion chillers, plate chillers, and counter flow chillers. They all are trying to do the same thing, cool the hot wort down to pitching temperatures as fast as possible. Chilling the wort down through certain range of temperatures help prevent DMS (dimethyl sulfide) and other off-flavors.
