Briess Red Wheat is often used in Hefeweizen and other traditional wheat styles due to its distinctive characteristic wheat flour flavor. Red wheat is creamy, sweet and malty and slightly higher in protein then White Wheat malt. Red Wheat can be used as part or all of the base malt in wheat beers and improves head and foam retention in all beers.

Usage
- 5%: Improves head and head retention in any beer style
- 10-20%: Kolsch
